About the ACLS 23 Things Learning Program

About 23 Things
Allegany County Public Libraries is very pleased to announce our participation in the statewide Maryland Libraries Learning 2.0 - 23 Things project.

23 Things is a voluntary learning program that you can do on the web to explore and expand your knowledge of the Internet and Web 2.0.
In just 12 weeks, you can become "Web 2.0 compliant" by completing 23 Things (short exercises). Each week you will have 2 or 3 short exercises that will take you only around 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Click here to view the 23 things.

Registration
Hurry and register now! Registration begins on May 1st and closes on June 8th. Use this Register Now link to register. If you decide to cancel your registration later, click here.

Jennifer's Office Hours
Think that you'll have lots of questions? No worries! Throughout the summer, I will be available to help with any questions that you might have about the program. Once the program officially starts in June, I'll both post the dates and times here.

Participant Blogs
When you are working on Thing 4, you'll need to Register Your Blog. Please use your work email address, as all registrations are monitored. Remember that your blog address can be anonymous on your blog, but Jennifer needs to know so she can track your progress and send you your CEUs at the end of the project. You also don't want to miss out on the possibility of winning one of these fabulous prizes!
Our blog list: Watch this space for participant blogs!

Prizes
All participants who successfully complete the program will win an iPod Shuffle!
If you are checking out this website, but have not yet joined us, please contact our regional coordinator - Jennifer Howell (contact information below). You can also contact Jennifer if you have any questions about the project. Don't forget that she is not the instructor, though, as this is a learning project and we encourage you to visit each other's blogs and talk with each other for ideas and help.
