ACLS 23 Things Celebration Lunch

Feel like you're seeing double? You are! Both John Taube and his avatar showed-up to the ACLS 23 Things Celebration Luncheon at the Culinaire Cafe in downtown Cumberland on October 5th. John was the hit of the party as he sang "Blogger Boi", his Web 2.0 take on Avril Lavigne's - Skater Boy. See below for the lyrics of this soon to be Top 40 song! Watch out Weird Al!

Lyrics to Blogger Boi (sung to the tune of Avril Lavigne's Skater boy) by John Taube.

He was a blog
She was a wiki
Can I make it anymore obvious?
He did youtube.
And she did merlin
What more can I say?

He wanted her.
She'd never tell.
Secretly she was web 2.0.
And all of her friends
Stuck up their nose.
And they had a problem with his rollyo.

He was a blogger boi she said see ya later boi.
He wasn't mashed up enough for her.
She had flickr space but her head was up in space.
She needed to come back down to blog.

Five years from now she sits at home reading the podcast left on Zoho
She turns on TV and guess who she sees.
His Avatar is rocking up MTV.
She twitters her friends.
They already know
And they've all got tickets to see his show.
She googles along, blogs in the crowd.
Looks up at the man that she turned down.

He was a blogger boi she said see ya later boi.
He wasn't mashed up enough for her.
Now he's a RSS Feed jammin on youtube with me
Does your widget look on guttenburg

Sorry girl but you mashed up
Well tough luck that boi's mine now.
We are more than avatars.
This is how RSS ends.
Too bad that you couldn't see...see the folksonomie.
There is more than meets the eye, I see the tag that is inside.

He's just a blog, and I'm just a wiki.
Can I make it anymore obvious?
We are in librarything
Haven't you heard
how we tag each other's world?

I met the blogger boi I said see you later boi.
I'll be podcasting after the show.
I'll be at the studio posting the song he wrote about a wiki he used to know.
